Making a Donation
There are a number of ways to donate funds to our school. The voluntary contribution on your school fees statement is allocated to development of the school grounds, which is managed by the Grounds sub-committee. This does not include the regular maintenance undertaken by contractors.
In 2015 we introduced a new way for families to make tax-deductible donations towards the Library Fund or the Building Fund. The school’s use of these funds is strictly governed by State Government and ATO rules.
In 2016 the Library Fund will focus on refitting the picture story book area to make it colourful, cosy and comfortable for our younger readers. The Building Fund will be used for things like enhancing existing classrooms, replacing old floor coverings, repairing and repainting window frames and repainting the corridors.
If half of the 400 families at BNPS were to donate $50 to either fund, this would raise $10,000. Because these funds are tax-deductible, the net cost to parents would be less, depending on your tax bracket.
This is an efficient way to raise money which benefits the donor as well as the school. To find out more about how you can donate, please contact the school office.
