Foundation
The first year of primary school focuses on developing the foundations of student learning. The main emphasis in the Foundation classroom is on literacy, numeracy and social development. An Inquiry unit focus incorporating a range of learning areas including health, humanities, science and technologies is provided each term. Students are involved in hands-on, engaging and authentic experiences that foster a strong learning environment. Information pack
Years 1/2
As students move through years 1 and 2, we continue to foster independence and increased responsibility, particularly for the students transitioning from Foundation to Year 1. Students are given opportunities to explore and practise skills and behaviours that support learning. The focus continues in the areas of English, Mathematics and Inquiry where students are engaged in small group and class activities to aid in developing positive social relationships in order to achieve goals collaboratively. Years 5/6
In years 5 and 6 students become independent learners. They work with their teachers to design learning that provides a range of rich and authentic learning opportunities and experiences, providing our students with the skills and confidence to take them onto their secondary education. The curriculum is designed to consolidate the knowledge and skills required by students for life-long learning, social development and active and informed citizenship. Information pack
