The Music program at BNPS is based around the principles of ‘Musical Futures’.
We’re committed to finding ways to enable all young people to experience practical music making, to understand the processes of music making and for music to contribute to social education and personal development.
Music classes are planned across a two-year curriculum focused around our whole school music concert held every two years.
Music is taught across all levels with meaningful skill growth. Our music program increases students’ listening, participation and creativity while coaching life-long lessons through engaging and challenging activities that includes whole class, large group music making.
We build instrumental, musical and ensemble skills on a variety of popular classroom instruments including ukulele, guitar, keyboard, bass guitar, vocals, tuned and un-tuned percussion.
