Transition Program
At Brunswick North Primary School our transition program has been designed to help students smoothly navigate and adapt to changes when joining our school community. Starting school is a significant milestone for both children and parents, and we want to assure you that we are here to make this transition as positive and beneficial as possible.
Our program aims to ease the potential challenges that students might face and provide them with the necessary support to succeed in their new environment. Our team of dedicated teachers are devoted to building strong and positive relationships with their students, laying the foundation for the best start to school and lifelong learning.
Transition Sessions
At Brunswick North Primary School each child will have four transition sessions. The sessions will run over the course of Term 4, in preparation for starting school the following year. Each session will run for an hour and be taken by a combination of our Foundation and Specialist Teachers. During the sessions your child will have the opportunity to become acquainted with our school layout and facilities, familiarise themselves with different school learning environments and provide an opportunity to connect with new peers.
