Parents and Friends

To foster a positive and collaborative relationship between the Parents and Friends, the school staff, the students and the wider community.

Providing a welcoming and engaging environment to all BNPS Parents & Friends and to:

• contribute to the wellbeing of the school community
• encourage the participation of all parents in the life of the school and the education of their children
• provide opportunities for parents to get to know each other and to be informed about their child’s school
• provide opportunities for parents to extend their understanding of school operations, and general education policy
• contribute to proposals on school policy and other educational issues (as identified or discussed with the Principal or School Council)
• raise funds for the benefit of the school and students

Our main activities include:

• Meet regularly onsite or online
• Organise school community events and activities that bring everyone together, such as
• School Picnic & Student Disco
• Annual fundraising event, such as Trivia Nights
• Wider community events, such as Fete or fundraising at elections
• Home Reader Book Drive
• Sausage Sizzle(s)
• Class Representatives
• Volunteer support for BNPS led events when required, such as art show and music concert
